Join us to learn all about local birds and what is essential to bird survival. Indoors, attendees will examine taxidermy mounts,
feathers, nests, eggs, and bones to discover the differences between water birds, songbirds, and raptors. Before we head
outside for our walk, we will each make our very own Audubon Bird Caller. We will walk around the outdoor animal cages to
meet a variety of native hawks, falcons, and a bald eagle. During a guided woodland walk children will have the opportunity to
look and listen for birds, observe nests, and identify birds and learn about their habitats. This workshop is for children ages 6
through 12. $10 per child, payment must be made at time of registration as space is limited.
