Guests who donate non-perishable items will receive a Buy One, Get One
Urban Air Lake Grove, one of Long Island’s tallest indoor adventure parks with 50,000 sq. ft. of space to run, jump, climb and fly, is partnering with Long Island Cares to launch a community holiday food drive through November 24, aimed at helping to stock local pantries and support families across Long Island in need of assistance.
Throughout the drive, guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Urban Air Lake Grove, located at 3147 Middle Country Rd, Lake Grove, NY 11755. As a thank-you, anyone who donates will receive a Buy One, Get One pass to enjoy the adventure park.
“Urban Air is all about bringing families together, and we want to extend that mission to the larger community this holiday season,” said Keith Handler, Co-Founder of Urban Air Lake Grove. “By partnering with Long Island Cares, we hope to make a real impact for families who are struggling and help ensure no one goes hungry.”
Long Island Cares, founded by singer-songwriter Harry Chapin, is one of the region’s largest hunger relief organizations, distributing millions of pounds of food annually to Long Islanders in need.
“Partnerships like this remind us that fighting hunger is a community effort,” said Katherine Fritz, President and CEO of Long Island Cares. “When local businesses step up, like Urban Air Lake Grove is doing, they help us turn compassion into action. Every can, every box, every bag of food donated brings us one step closer to a hunger-free Long Island. We’re deeply grateful for their commitment to helping families and neighbors thrive.”
Donations of standard non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereal will be accepted during all open hours of the park through November 24.
