Saturday, October 11th: Inventions of the Renaissance
Leonardo da Vinci designed a variety of innovative ‘flying machine’ that gave to scientists basic understanding of aerodynamics. In this exploratory and hands-on workshop, families will learn how Da Vinci’s designs were inspired by animal flight, and explore the basic principles of flight and physics, while taking on the challenge of building one of Da Vinci’s glider prototypes.
This program is recommended for children ages 8 and up and their families. Adult assistance will be required throughout the building process.
