Healthy Kids Running Series

Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. There is also a Challenger Division for runner with disabilities or special needs.  All full series participants receive a medal on Week 5 and trophies are award to top finishers in the 1/4, 1/2, and 1 mile divisions.

Long Island races will take place on Sundays at 3:30pm on 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, and 10/11 at the Rockville Centre Recreation Center.

Registration is available for the full series or single day racing.

They are also looking for volunteers and local sponsors.
