Did you know that Lio Lionni was a mentor to Eric Carle? Join us in the Purple Studio for some collaborative artmaking inspired by popular characters from these two beloved authors: “Frederick” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. Visitors are invited to help our space come to life by adding colorful creatures that live above and below the ground. Be sure to stop by our newest traveling exhibit, “Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit” before or after this project!
